    We believe good food starts with clean ingredients, and that includes what our cattle eat. Our Dexter beef is raised without grains, synthetic hormones, or antibiotics. Just fresh air, clean water, and plenty of wide-open pasture.

    Our cattle are never fed grain not even in winter. They graze freely from start to finish, which means you get beef that’s nutrient-dense, flavorful, and true to nature.

  • Raised Regeneratively on Hand-Planted Pasture

    Every blade of grass on our land was planted by hand. Our family stewards this soil with care, rotating animals, rebuilding topsoil, and restoring the land, because we’re not just raising beef, we’re leaving things better than we found them.

Delivery & Pickup

Pickup Options: Local pickup is available by arrangement. After your order is placed and your final packaged weight is confirmed, we’ll coordinate pickup details with you and apply a local pickup discount as a thank you for keeping things simple.

Shipping Options: We ship our beef anywhere we can get it to you frozen and perfect — usually about 4–5 days from Northern Idaho. That covers much of the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Mountain West and West Coast, including: Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and California.

Why Dexter Beef?

At Granite Springs Ranch, we raise Dexter cattle for one simple reason: quality. 

As a heritage breed dating back to 18th-century Ireland, Dexter cattle are smaller, more efficient grazers and produce beef that’s naturally lean, finely marbled, and exceptionally flavorful.

How Dexter Beef Compares to Angus:

Despite their size, Dexter cattle offer a higher meat-to-bone ratio than Angus, making each cut more efficient and less wasteful.

Dexter beef contains up to 20–25% less total fat than typical Angus beef, yet still delivers excellent marbling and tenderness.

Grass-fed Dexter beef contains significantly more omega-3 fatty acids and up to 4x more CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) than conventional grain-fed beef, supporting heart health and inflammation control.
